Videos, Music and Games

When we buy the latest videos or games we want to play them on our Mobile phones. Wouldn't it be good to share them with our friends and family. How about being able to play them on other types of video player or console.

At present if you purchase protected content, then it is tied to your phone. You can not copy it from one phone to another and then play it. You can not play it on any other type of device.

With the latest enhanced OMA DRM v2.0 solution from Calton Hill you can. If you lose your phone then you can still play the content on your new phone by inserting the card.

Preloaded Video Card

When you purchase the content on a preloaded TrustedFlash Card, you can play and lend the content in exactly the same way that you do with CD's or DVDs. Insert the Card into your player or Mobile phone and watch the video.

Blank Video Card

Purchase the content from you favourite online store and the content can be downloaded directly to your secure MultiMedia card. You can then use that card in exactly the same way as if you had purchased the card with the content preloaded. You can play, or lend the card.

Rights Management

The Rights Management system provides the creation of protected rights to the content including support for:

  • Permissions: play, display, execute, print, export
  • Constraints: count, timed count, date/time, time interval, accumulated time, individual, system
  • Rights object inheritance
  • Domain rights objects
  • Group rights objects
  • Preview rights
  • Secure transfer of rights

Technical Specifications

Client Applications

The client applications are written in Java and run under Linux on the M-Shield™ platform from Texas Instruments.

Server Applications

The server applications are written in Java. They are available on a Linux or Windows XP platform running the Apache Tomcat servers.

Terminal Platform

Our terminal solutions are based on the Texas Instruments M-Shield™ technology and also are compliant with the ARM TrustZone™ secure platform that supports the GlobalPlatform/STIP interface specifications. The core of our DRM Client is an interpreted secure service which is executed in a secure environment by a STIP-compliant virtual machine. This gives it a number of significant advantages over conventional native-code DRM clients:

  • Separation of services - the virtual machine guarantees that services cannot interfere with each other.
  • Interoperability - it runs on any target device which contains a STIP-compliant virtual machine, including all M-Shield™ and TrustZone™ devices.
  • Secure download - STIP-based services can be downloaded over the air and then installed, without compromising strict security requirements.
